Building Community
Our goal is to support and host games and events that foster community engagement and support foundational activities.

Building Community in School
The Lane Leedahl Blessed Foundation is honored to offer mini-grant opportunities of up to $500 for classroom teachers and schools committed to fostering a strong sense of community.

Lane’s passion for building meaningful connections was beautifully reflected in a message he shared with parents at the close of the 2023 school year:

“Most importantly, I think, is how much this class has grown as members of a larger community. Each day, I saw students looking out for one another, showing empathy when a student may have been having a difficult time, and finding ways to lift others up, instead of putting them down. We had some ‘bumps’ along the way, but I know that these ‘bumps’ will make us all better people.”

In the spirit of continuing Lane’s legacy, we invite you to apply here for a mini-grant to support initiatives that build connection, empathy, and belonging within your classroom or school community.

Project ideas might include:
• Materials for a school-wide collaborative art project
• Supplies for an after-school program focused on social-emotional learning
• Classroom tools for cooperative games and activities
• Building sets like LEGOs to encourage teamwork and creativity

Let’s work together to carry forward Lane’s belief in the power of community.
